PlayTime! is one of two new short courses aimed at supporting playwork provision delivered through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. It’s a 3-hour introductory course delivered in a single session that develops understanding of the role of an adult in creating supportive environments for freely-chosen play.
The course provides an introduction to playwork theory, the benefits of play, and the responsibilities of those supporting children’s play.
Developed by The Playwork Foundation in partnership with Devon County Council, the course is endorsed by Play England and mapped against Playwork National Occupational Standards at Level 2.
